IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Test is an all-India level entrance test conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). The test is conducted in online mode for IGNOU admissions in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. Every year, thousands of candidates appear for the IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Test. IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Test Eligibility 2024
Candidates should attain at least 50 per cent marks in graduation or post-graduation in Science/Social Science/Commerce/Humanities. BE (Bachelor of Engineering)/BTech (Bachelor of Technology) candidates with specialization in Science and Mathematics and 55 percent aggregate marks are also eligible to apply for the exam.
Note: A relaxation of five percent marks is provided to candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Other Backward Class (OBC) – non-creamy layer/ Persons with Disability (PwD) categories.
Apart from the above, candidates should also belong to either of the categories mentioned below:
- Trained in-service teachers in elementary education
- Completion of a NCTE recognized teacher education programme through face-to-face mode

IGNOU B.Ed admission process 2024 includes the following steps:
Step 1: Fill IGNOU BEd Entrance Test Application Form
Candidates can fill the IGNOU BEd Entrance Test 2024 application form online on the official website of NTA. Application fee for IGNOU BEd Entrance Test is Rs 600.
Step 2: Download IGNOU BEd Entrance Test Admit Card
Once the application process is over, candidates can download their IGNOU BEd Entrance Test 2020 admit card from the official website of the agency. Candidates can download their admit card by logging in to their registered accounts.
Step 3: Give IGNOU BEd Entrance Test
Next, candidates need to appear for the IGNOU BEd Entrance Test 2020 as per the prescribed schedule at the allotted exam centre. IGNOU BEd Entrance Test comprises 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs) of 100 marks that candidates need to complete in a duration of two hours.
